Marantz SR7010 AVR 125W 9.2 Channel Atmos Theater Receiver with Airplay Tested

  
I recently upgraded to the top of the line sr8015 and no longer need this unit. The unit from a from a smoke free home in a dedicated theater setup that was only used for movies and sports watching. I always ran this on an open rack with a lot of air flow and used an external amplifier (marantz mm8003) so the internal amplifiers have very little use.

The HDMI board was replaced 2 years ago at which time I upgraded the board to add heat sinks to all of the audio processing chips to protect against any future issues. This unit was my main receiver until I recently upgraded to the flagship sr8015 which the only new unit that supports wide channels. This unit has 9 channels of amplification that can drive up to 125w/ch to support up to 7.2.2 or 5.2.4 atmos. With an inexpensive external stereo amplifier it can support 7.2.4 or 9.2.2 theaters. I have used and tested this unit and it is fully functional.

The Audyssey setup process using the microphone helps setup speakers quickly and easily on this unit. I was using this to process my main 9.2.2 speakers along with another sr701x receiver to process the height channels in parallel so that I could support 9.2.4 in my theater. This was a complicated setup that worked great but I wanted to simplify the setup and remove a lot of connections so I finally bought the flagship model.. I have several receivers in the house including the theater room, living room, gym and even my office. This one is just too nice to use in the lesser rooms.

I actually hate to sell it given that it is the last of the sr701x's to support wide channels so it is good to have as a backup if my sr8015 should ever go in for repair. With that said this clearly needs a new home so that it isn't just sitting on a shelf in my office. I always take great care in packing them.
